Supporting Nerve Regeneration Research
Struck a Nerve was founded to raise money for nerve regeneration research—a cause deeply personal to me. Before my accident, I had dreams of competing in races like the Moab 240 and an IRONMAN, but I was told I’d never be able to do them.
After surgery, once I was cleared to run again, I began training—despite significant injuries and having to relearn how to swim and bike with one arm. In less than a year, I completed my first IRONMAN. Since then, I’ve finished a 50-mile ultramarathon and am now training for my first 100-mile race.
Through some of the world’s toughest endurance events, I’m raising awareness and funds for the Neuroregeneration Lab at UConn Health, which is advancing treatments for spinal cord injuries. All donations go directly to support their work.https://health.uconn.edu/neuroregeneration-lab/.
